Sony 16GB PMX-M89 China PMP With Built-In Map
Whilst Japan and the west get Sony’s pricy, flashy products such as the new NW-A840 Walkman, China buyers are privy to their straight-forward media players, the latest being the PMX-M89.
It might not have the same glitz or wow factor as its western counterparts but the PMX-M89 holds its own with a 4.3 inch 480 x 272 widescreen display, SRS audio and video support including MP4 and H.264 and audio support for AAC and MP3.
Elsewhere in the player is the snappily titled ‘Skywalker of the Sony PMX-M8 Series Zhuanban’ map software and ‘China Navigation Electronic Map’ which serve to point you to places of interest and help you around (if you happen to be in China).
There’s no indication on the quality of the interface or hardware but for around $289 it’d have to be pretty damn impressive.
