Itoos M6HD is a Chinese power-packer

The Itoos M6HD might be the newest Chinese PMP, but this Chinese player deserves some serious attention. With Onda having established its HD players in the Chinese market, the M6HD will come as unwelcome competition.

The 4.3-inch screen supports multiple resolutions with a max of 1360x768 pixels. Before we forget to mention, the M6HD supports an impressive 1080i output.

Unfortunately, the 8GB internal memory is slightly deficient (even if it does include a MicroSD slot). Consider that the Cowon Q5W and the Archos 605 support from 30GB up to 160GB.

The video-capable device supports most of the usual proprietary formats including the less popular MKV, FLAC, OGG, and APE formats.

Additional features include an FM tuner and a remote control. At 104 x 77 x 12 mm, the M6HD will retail for around $58 USD, but don’t expect it to see outside of the People’s Republic.
