The sleek and shiny 3 inch Ramos Q25L has been given a glittering write-up on Chinese site pconline.com.cn.

See the run down of the translated finer points after the jump.

Build

The Q25L has an international design style and a finely processed mirrored metal casing that feels the business.

It measures 92 x 54 x 13mm and weighs 60 grams, slotting it in among the smallest of the 3 inch players.

Due to it being touch screen, there’s only one button onboard which is the power switch.

UI

The interface looks pretty spacious and slick and each category has its own graphic.

Navigation is based on the iPhone ’sliding’ style and is speed sensitive for extra control.

The G-sensor allows it to be used any way up and the UI adjusts accordingly.

Functions

The Q25L supports audio, video, FM radio, recording, picture browsing, e-books and more.

The music interface looks pretty straightforward and similar, if a little less exciting, to the Onda VX777LE.

It plays MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC and APE audio files and supports lyric and album art display during playback.

It also makes use of ID3 tagging and uses Microsoft PlayFX.

The video playback was also a success and the 800 x 480 resolution screen was tested using an RMVB video.

ramos5

Playback looks simple and straight-forward and supports breakpoints, continuous play, play timing and has 4GB of memory to store the files.

The quality is reportedly very good with no blocks of colour or dropped frames.

The e-book reader looks straight forward but functional with the choices of font colour (red, green and blue) and font sizes. It supports bookmarks and also editing.

Overall it seemed to be two thumbs up for the Q25L and they’ve even included a handy USB transfer rate test graph.
