New FiiO S5 MP3 speaker system with screen
FiiO from china who are now well known worldwide in providing high quality but low budget audio solutions to the mass market have served up another interesting little device.
The S5 is an updated version of the S3 that was released several months back.
The big difference here though is in the added screen on the front of the speaker, the S3 had no screen and just a SD card slot and operation buttons, the S5 adds a color screen and toggle wheels to the side of the body.
The mp3 speaker also boasts a SD card reader, internal memory, alarm clock, comes in both white and burgandy red.
The speaker seems to have the mp3 chip of the moment bolted into it, the sigmatel chip, which is widely used on most chinese MP3 only players
There is a full image review of the speaker over at FiiO forums, sorry, but google translate wont play ball with the site but there are plenty of images to gawp at.
This looks like a positive update to the S3, the white does look alot better though so dont be put off and this would make a great all in one unit for the beach or a small gathering, and knowing FiiO the speker quality and volume themselves will be very good indeed.
