Mahdi Bounce Back With T556 and T557 HD PMPs
Early last year unknowns Mahdi dropped out a lacklustre PMP.
Following the residing ‘meh’ it received they have been beavering away trying to pick up when they should have left off. The result is the T556 & T557 - two PMPs with the same innards but different designs.
Both again carry the mark of Asian superstar Jay Chau as the JZ4755 did and both carry a 2.8 inch screen with the standard resolution of 400 x 240 pixels and offer 720p high definition output through their dual core JZ4755 chips.

Video playback comes in the forms of RM, RMVB, AVI, MKV, WMV,VOB, FLV, ASF, MPG,DAT, 3GP and MP4. Audio supported includes MP3, WMA, WAV, PLAC, APE, AC3, AAC, OGG, RA, AMR, MIDI and M4A.
The 16GB TF card expansion is pretty impressive and other features include photo browsing, e-book reader, TV-OUT, recorder, a Chinese-English dictionary and in the case of the T557, FM radio (inexplicably missing from the T556).
