Archos 1 Vision Now available

Archos 1 Vision Now available

Today, Archos officially added the '1 Vision' to their lineup. It's an entry-level device with no bells and/or whistles to be found. It only comes in a 4GB capacity, has a 1.5' display, a Voice recorder, and supports MP3, WMA. FLAC, WAV, and APE. Battery life is a bit higher than most other Archos players, with an estimated 21 hours of playback. So no video playback, or even an FM tuner, but at least it's cheap. It has a retail price of 39.99 Euros and, in all likelihood, the same amount in US.

Battery life is 6 hours so unless you’re a pro you should get a few sessions out of this thing before your recharge.

It costs $79.95.

Cube & BBE Team Up For C30 High-End MP3 Player

cube

Sound enhancement experts BBE and Cube have joined forces for the Cube C30, a Chinese MP3 player that comes at the pretty huge price (for a Chinese DAP at least) of 699 Yuan / $102.

BBE put the kick into Walkmans in the 90s as well as beefing up Kenwood, Alpine and Philips goods. Now with the C30 they’re part of a respectable 32GB machine which hopefully sounds sexier than it looks.

It supports FLAC and APE lossless playback and has memory card expansion, TTS voice reading, eBook reader, digital recording and it comes in 3 colours (gray, bluey gray and blue).

iriver hello kitty

The Japanese fictional character, Hello Kitty, now has an MP3 player to add to its successful commercial brand. Manufactured by iRiver, the Black MP3 player is a stark contrast to the conventional and beloved White version of the character that we have all grown to love.

Available in either a 2GB or 4GB storage option, the simplistic piece of memorabilia comes packaged with a USB cable and ear buds. To protect the player, a choice of stylish cases is to be released in parallel with the release of the player.

Although slated for a Japanese-only release, the MP3 player will retail for around $90. Should you find yourself on that side of the world, the player will see a release date just in time for the holidays and the new year.

The Voca Edition will see it come in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacities while helping kids improve their vocabulary (hence the name Voca). Pricing starts from around $259 upwards, depending on the model number and capacity.

Hey DJ: Touchtable PMP MP3 Mixer

Hey DJ: Touchtable PMP MP3 Mixer

touchtable-design-pmp

Here’s a new mini mixing device that’s a turntable packed into a PMP. The design’s pretty enticing, hopefully the practical capabilities of it will be up to, erm, scratch.

It plays back MP3s, allows for mixing on the fly, cues outputs, can connect with another Touchtable wirelessly (ok, that’s pretty cool) and it doubles as a MIDI controller when connected to a PC.
