Cowon J3 AMOLED PMP Pricing Unveiled
The pricing of the Cowon J3 AMOLED PMP has been unveiled. As a reminder, the gadget features a 3.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen (480 x 272 resolution), Bluetooth, an FM tuner, a voice recorder, and a DMB (for Korea). The price ranges from 189,000 Won to 329,000 Won, or roughly $167 to $291 (add another 30,000 Won ($26) for DMB models. [PMPToday]
Tsinghua Tongfang MID Q5 - First RK2808 Android PMP released
It looks like Tsinghua Tongfang has pulled a fast one and have become the first company in China to release a Rockchip RK2808 Android pmp. Many of us here have been watching and waiting for the RAmos W7 and i thought that this would be the first RK2808 player to be released, but unbeknown to us till last week, Tsinghua Tongfang had their MID Q5 in the works.
The MID Q5 will have a 5.0″ touch screen, as well as a HDMI port, it will support 720p video playback on its 800 x 480 resolution screen. Hopefully i can get my hands on one soon.

Energy Sistem Energy 2208 MP4 Player
Here’s another ultralight MP4 player for you to grab, the Energy 2208 from Energy Sistem. Featuring a non-skid rubber finish, this pocket-sized device offers a Hi-Res LCD screen, an 8GB of storage, a music/video player, an FM radio, a voice recorder, a picture browser, an e-book reader, a rechargeable Li-ion battery and comes bundled with Hi-Fi earphones with neodymium magnets. Onda VX530Touch HD-Capable PMP Available Now
Onda has begun selling their latest HD-capable PMP ‘VX530Touch‘ in China. As mentioned before, the VX530Touch features a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, an optional 4GB or 8GB storage space, an FM radio, a picture browser, built-in speakers, a USB port and supports 720p Full HD video playback. The 4GB and 8GB are priced at 299 Yuan (about $44) and 399 Yuan (about $58), respectively. [PCnow]
Itoos M8HDP Portable Media Player
Chinese PMP manufacturer Itoos is ready to release a new portable media player namely the M8HDP. The player is compatible with most of famous audio and video file formats such as H.264, MP3, WAV, MPEG-2, VC-1, RM/RMVB, MKV, MOV, TS, AVI, MPG, MP4, 3GP, VOB and DAT. Too bad, this model lacks of a HDMI port, so you can’t connect it to a bigger screen. No word on pricing or availability so far. [IMP3]
After sneaking up on us, the COWON J3 is now official. The 3.3-inch AMOLED touchscreen PMP will be available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities and will have optional DMB TV for Korean buyers. This humble PMP is very well-designed having won the Reddot Award for this year. It plays 11 hours of video and 64 hours of audio. Besides supporting a variety of video and audio formats (including lossless audio) it also plays Flash games. Dapreview has it priced at $167 to $291.
